Substitute Teachers and Paraprofessionals            

The Huron Intermediate School District, Learning Center, Huron Area Technical Center, and all our local Huron County schools have teamed up with EDUStaff to provide their substitute teacher and paraprofessional staffing services!

In addition to the online application, you will need to attend a 2-hour workshop with EDUStaff at the Huron ISD. During this workshop they will verify identification, scan paperwork, and answer any questions you may have that day.

Meeting dates are tentatively scheduled for the following dates below from 10 am – 12 pm, at the Huron ISD Administration office:

8/10, 8/24, 9/7, 9/21, 10/5, 11/2, 12/7, 1/11/19, 2/1/19, 3/1/19, and 4/12/19.

Educational requirements to become a Substitute are the following:

  • Substitute Paraprofessional: High School Diploma, or GED,

  • Substitute Teacher: 90 credits from one or more accredited 2 or 4-year college or university.  Official transcripts must be submitted either electronically from the school or in hard copy from the college/university. 

Fingerprinting can be done on any meeting day, or by calling Julie Toner at (989) 269-3467 to schedule an appointment.  The cost to be fingerprinted is $ 56.50.
