School Showcase

The Thumb Area STEAM Showcase is looking for projects, displays, and presentations from local schools that showcase the excellent STEAM activities being done in districts across the county.  Classroom teachers, leaders of projects or clubs, or any school group related to science, technology, engineering, the arts, or mathematics can apply.

 

A $200.00 donation will be awarded to each approved application.* 
All projects, activities, presentations should be in some way connected to STEAM. Some examples might include:

Robotics demonstrations

            Underwater ROV or IVD vehicles

            Science fair displays

            Science club displays or activities

            Problem-solving teams (i.e., Destination Imagination, Science Olympiad, Academic Games)

            FFA projects

            Innovative art exhibits (Recyclables, Design/Engineering, Nature/Environment)

            Industrial arts projects

            Media/digital art projects

            Music or performance arts

*Due to space and budget requirements there are a limited number of applications that can be accepted. The Thumb Area STEAM Showcase planning committee will distribute donations as equitably as possible to schools across the county taking into account school population, geographic location, variety of projects, and “fit” to STEAM context. Notifications will be made by April 26, 2017.
