📣 Huron Intermediate School District is excited to announce an opening for a Project SEARCH Instructor (Pilot Program) for the 2026–27 school year.
Project SEARCH is an internationally recognized transition-to-employment program that supports young adults with disabilities in developing workplace, independent living, and career readiness skills through real-world job experiences.
This position offers a unique opportunity to help launch and lead an innovative program in collaboration with students, families, businesses, and community partners.
Position Highlights:
✅ Part-time, non-union pilot position for 2026–27
✅ Key role in program development and implementation
✅ Anticipated transition to a full-time Project SEARCH Instructor position in 2027–28 (contingent upon program success)
Qualifications include:
Valid Michigan teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement
Experience working with secondary students with disabilities
Knowledge of transition planning and workforce readiness
Strong collaboration skills
