Law / Public Safety students began their open water scuba certification course today. “That’s magical”, and “that’s literally the coolest thing i’ve ever done” were some of the students statements after they took their first breaths under water.
Students from Electrical and Construction got to experience Construction Days in Howell, MI, today.
Hands-on demos and career discussions with various employers made it an engaging and informative day!

Yesterday our DECA students went to the Georgia Aquarium, the College Football Hall of Fame, and attended Opening Session. This year there are over 26,000 registered guests at DECA ICDC.

Electrical students learned about running conduit underground. This multiple day activity involves hand digging, carefully running conduit and installing enclosures, correctly placing “caution buried electric line below” caution tape in the trench, backfilling, and vacuuming poly lines in.
After this they will have the opportunity to run the mini excavator attempting to dig the conduit back up carefully without breaking it.
