The Huron Intermediate School District is seeking qualified applicants for an Automotive Technology Instructor at the Huron Area Technical Center (HATC) for the 2026–2027 school year.
This opening follows the upcoming retirement of Mr. Terry Tuckey, and we extend our sincere congratulations and appreciation as he prepares to wrap up a long and meaningful career serving students at HATC. His impact on technical education and student success will be felt for years to come.
🔧 About the Role
This position provides hands-on instruction in automotive maintenance and light repair, preparing students for careers in the automotive industry and ASE certification.

Will is a senior from Laker High School who is enrolled in our Electrical program as well as the dual enrollment cohort and Early Middle College. He is pictured here with his Electrical instructor, Mr. Aymen.

The CDA is a national credential for early childhood educators awarded by the Council for Professional Recognition.

The donated food was supplied be our student body here at the HATC and donated to St. Hubert Parish Shared Blessings Food Pantry. This year we collected 659 total items.

Our preschool students explored salon tools and routines at the HATC—hair styling, nail painting, and learning how professionals keep everything clean and safe.
🌟 Such a fun way to connect school to real-world careers!









The preschool class practiced being caring medical staff with students at HATC as we checked hearts, listened with stethoscopes, and helped our stuffed friends feel better.
✨ Hands-on learning + imagination = the best kind of day!
